 Barbara Parentini, a native Ohioan, fell in love with the South when we she attended Warren Wilson College in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Retired from her career as a registered nurse since a life-changing accident in 2003, she devotes much of her time writing Christian fiction, devotions, and poetry. Some of her contributions appear in Amazing Faith by Insight Publishing; One Year Life Verse Devotional by Tyndale House Publishers; Daily Devotions for Writers from The Writing Academy; and HUGS Bible Reflections for Women by Howard Books, August 2009. Her devotions can also be found on Truth Ministries and Christian Devotions websites online. (See Blog) She is currently writing, In the Den With Daniel, a novel set in Appalachia.
She enjoys creating her elegant card line, Soaring Hearts, which you may find in your favorite Tea Room or seaside boutique. Also, she has created Living Letters: Letters from the Heart, a seminar and TEA scheduled for February 2011, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina (see Events). In the summer of 2010, she founded the Light of Carolina Christian Writers. Barbara is a graduate of C.L.A.S.S. (Christian Leaders Authors Speakers Seminars). She and her husband reside in North Carolina.
