AUTUMN

Soaring Hearts and Poetry
Dear Friends ~

Autumn stirs my senses more than any time of the year. Its rich colors, pumpkin harvests, and crisp, sun-dappled days often draw me to the mountains to soak in God's masterpiece. I've included one of my favorite Soaring Hearts cards, along with a poem to inspire you. (This card may be purchased under Products.)

May October find you enjoying mugs of cider and leisurely strolls with a friend through autumn's spectacular color!

Many blessings,

Barbara

I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works.  Psalm 145:5 NKJV

Autumn's Windowpane

Golden fire glows from the leaves,

Burnished bronze and copper reflect

morning sun, nature's stained glass

in golden light.

Drawn to the windows,

my breath stills in the hypnosis of color.

Slender dogwood branches startle with crimson,

silhouetted against a mural of gold.

Entranced, I linger, my gaze unbroken.

Hours pass, tasks untouched.

I watch red leaves drift from tall maples

and towering white oaks.

Light speaks her silent language of beauty,

as I look through autumn's windowpane

to heaven.
