This morning I sat in front of the living room windows to capture a few moments of sunrise.  Behind the canopy of leaves, a peach glow illuminated the morning sky like a watercolor painting.  I long to spend a few moments in quiet with God.  In the semi-darkness I prayed~ 

 

"Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for a good night's sleep, for your faithful protection and provisions for this day.  I am grateful for the awesome sunrise and beauty of nature.  I can only imagine what it was like for Adam and Eve to awaken in the Garden of Eden in the morning and feel your loving presence, and hear your voice in the cool of the evening. 

 

Thank you for the hope you bring to my day.  I surrender this day to you, Lord.  Infuse my spirit with your love.  Help me to hear your voice as I walk with you.  In Jesus' name I pray.  Amen.
