For the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.
The flowers are springing up and the time of
the singing of birds has come, yes, spring is here.
Song of Solomon 2:11,12 TLB
Prayer of Praise for Spring.
Heavenly Father, thank You for this beautiful morning,
and Your protection through the night.
Thank You for lacy blossoms on dogwood
branches, tiny as a baby's
open hand.
For all the beauty in the earth,
the loveliness of redbud trees,
cheerful daffodils and fragrant hyacinths,
for open shutters and spring breezes,
I am so grateful.
Thank You, Lord, for the bluebird's
startle of color, the robin's nest,
and friendly cardinal that perches
outside my window.
For showers so faithfully sent
to replenish gardens and rivers,
and for Hope that renews
my thirsty spirit,
I lift my song of praise
to You this day.
