The Crystal Cross

 

 

This morning a shaft of sunlight streaming through one of the skylights enveloped the crystal cross in the living room.  The cross gleamed in a shower of light, rainbows shooting out in all directions through its smooth folds.  Awestruck, I sat in reverential quiet to capture the splendor of the cross.  Everything near the illuminated sculpture was bathed in its lightshow.

 

After I left the room, I paused in the hallway for one last look at the radiant sight.  I whispered a prayer that Christ would shine His beautiful light ever brightly through my life for His purpose.

 

Heavenly Father, may your love and light shine brightly through me today wherever I go, for your glory.  In Jesus' name. Amen.
